Consider flipping the technology so it detects when you're getting better and ups the difficulty.

Resident evil 2 had slightly adaptive difficulty. If you had tons of healing items and bullets it made enemies stronger and harder to kill. But if you keep dieing or missing shots then your bullets did more headshot damage and enemies lost some AI pathing

Pretty much God Hand. The circle with a skull in the lower left corner basically shows how good you are and how difficult the enemies are. When you're good the level increases (min level is 1, maximum level is "Die!" which is 4) and the game becomes more difficult. And by difficult I don't mean that enemies become damage sponges that can one shot you. They become more aggressive, better at defending themselves and also they become more coordinated in attacking you when they are in groups (some of them can do combination attacks). When you're bad and get hit continuously, the level decreases, but so do the rewards.

I can hardly wait for him to be playable, I know he's going to be DLC, all but confirmed at this point.

Best DMC character ever, really hope he's gonna be playable. A little iffy about how slow his rapid slash looks in 5 compared to 4, but else I'm hyped af. 3 is still the best DMC imo, but 5 is fun as ----.Comment edited at .

3 is my fav too! I just hope they don't implement that weird mechanic that encourages you to stand still to win from 4SE.

Just has way more character development and the story is a lot more interesting. saaaame, I can see how it's balanced and all, but judgement nut end is too fun to use to the point where having to focus/stand still/land consecutive hits is too much of a chore

It helps that it's a beloved prequel with a lot of character.

explain the balance to me, it seemed way to easy to just stand still, teleport through attacks and then delet everything on screen

Yeah completely agreed

Oh I didn't really see it as easy because I'm really good at ----ing up I guess. On the human and demon hunter difficulties I can see it being too easy sometimes because you just have to gain some distance, but Son Of Sparda and up, I found it difficult to get there to the point where I just couldn't be arsed because I more often than not got surrounded by ---- I wanted to delete lmao

I think I require harder difficulties and stronger enemies. In fact, give Bloody Palace Co-op and PvP modes, let me style on those who are not worthy to be my opponents. Hell and Hell Palace when?

Players actually fighting eachother sounds like it'd get annoying esp considering dante and nero have a EZ range spam. But a "pvp" where whoever styles on the enemies the most wins? sounds nice. Could allow potential for sabotage aswell as you can throw or steal away an enemy from the other player while they're mid combo.

As long as the bullets have low damage and no stun it shouldn't be a problem. I mostly want there to be PvP Dante vs Vergil fights

A Coop and PvP of their time in Hell would be pretty nice yeah.

A set of co-op missions where the boss fight is a big demon, followed by each other, followed by the demons second form and then each other again with witty dialogue and interesting story.

Add a bit of PvP during the coop aswell, Whoever gets the best style and the most kills every fight gets some cheeky dialogue from their character. iirc the ending sequence already does that if you get more kills than vergil or vice versa.

If Capcom does even half of that as a DLC I'd pay for it like it's a full game tbh, it'd be a masterpiece.

Because when it was released, God Hand got a very bad review from an IGN game journalist who barely even played the first level and then gave it a very very low score. So game failed to sell and the team who worked on it (Clover Studio) got disbanded and mostly fired from Capcom. It was considered a total failure that nobody wanted to touch ever again.
Those developers who left created their own company called Platinum Games. You probably heard of them.
This video might explain better.
God Hand This is why we cant have nice things

I almost bought God Hand more than once, only reason I didn't was a game I knew I wanted was on sale both times. This sounds like an amazing mechanic and I'm honestly surprised Capcom hasn't made use of it, especially in Devil May Cry, I'd love if my enemies got harder the higher my stylish rank!

You should play it. It's quite different from DMC, but it's just as dynamic, especially if you get good. Here is a combo video . I mean, the protagonist Gene is a combination of Dante and Vergil with a funny twist (pic related) and the whole game is very wacky and silly. I mean, when was the last time you fought a bald fat mexican buddhist monk devil called Elvis (who is also quite the bro) in a video game? All of the bosses are wacky and the dialogues are simply stupid and barely make any sense. But that's what makes it enjoyable.
